The Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America in partnership with Allergy Standards Limited present the asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Program.
While many products claim to help control allergens and other triggers, not all of them work as promised, and that can make it tough for consumers trying to make smart decisions.
So AAFA and Allergy Standards Limited created the asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Program – the trusted way of knowing that household products claiming to be asthma and allergy friendly truly are.
When you see the Certification Mark on a product, you’ll instantly know that it has passed through a series of rigorous scientific tests and is proven to meet our highest standards – so you can make informed choices when shopping for products and services to help loved ones avoid or manage exposure to the allergens that may trigger their symptoms.
In order to pass testing, a product must demonstrate the ability:
- To control triggers at their source
- While contributing to whole of home environmental control
- As well as withstand necessary cleaning recommendations and care codes
As people with asthma and allergies continue to seek products that are better choices for them to use…
…More and more companies are seeking to achieve recognition for their products through the asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Program.
When you’re shopping for a product or service to help your family reduce the exposure to allergens in your home, look for the mark.
The mark means you can have confidence that the product you’re looking at has met rigorous scientific standards, to help make your home a healthier place for you and your loved ones.
